Many of you may not follow Formula 1, or Motorsport in general, but having the message suddenly appear in my twitter feed does not make it any less dreadful
Today, at 1:45 BST, Jules Bianchi died, after 9 months of battling a coma that he had suffered after crashing into a mobile crane that was lifting another car out of a dangerous location. He was a young lad who, by no doubt, was in line to become a great driver in motorsport, ready and waiting for that title of World Champion no doubt. I had hoped for him to recover, but having a brain injury as severe as he did, it was a long shot.
Now, I mourn the loss of the Former Marussia Driver and my condolences go out to all the Bianchi family for the time they have spent by their son's side and keeping the world updates on his progress
The First time in 21 years that a Driver has died due to an incident on a Race weekend, truly tragic.
Jules will be sorely missed within the F1 community.
No matter what F1 says, the safety of its drivers is it's top priority
But at the end of the day, it is a battle of man and machine to get the cars to the checkered flag
And Bianchi has sadly lost that battle
Rest in Power Jules, We will ALL miss you.
